Too long a thread here to read … but gauging by the thread header, I figure commenting on the timing and impact of social media is not entirely off topic.

Two to three decades of it has imo wrought havoc on people under about 35 yrs … life has become compared to 100’s of millions of others globally through profiles, posted content, commercial influencers and spruikers of false information, whereas pre internet and social media, personal cohorts would have generally been less than 100 within a local community … overload, doubts, fears, perceived inadequacies are amped up for young and developing youth. No wonder youth mental health is a global issue now, with no solution in sight. It’s not just America imo.
