Kenneth Davidson is an extreme left winger erstwhile economist who was an academic in Melbourne and imagines he is the voice of reason and enlightenment on every subject.

Davidson will offer a predictable and gratutious opinion on any subject. He shares the pathetic chip on the shoulder anti Americanism that is typical of the Age and quite a few posters on HC. That bias alone generally makes his contributions almost worthless (The Age obviously gets him cheap as he is from it's stable of writers.)

He knows about as much about this subject as he does about economics. (judged by his inaccurate predictions over the last decade.)
