I am a very, very basic reader of charts, being a staunch fundamental investor.
However, using charts when looking for entry and exit points is extremely useful (I wish I could always follow what the chart is telling me though!!). Reviewing the AMI chart weekend before last for example said to me that it was poised to go higher and that I should have bought more. Did I? No
I appreciate those chartists out there that are good at interpreting what is being told by the chart. While the fundamentals of a company should drive sp direction in a macro sense, fluctuations are certainly predictable through charting to some extent I believe, and should therefore assist trading strategies.
