Why else would you make such an announcement? Probably the same reason you'd announce "We currently have some $7 million of customer orders that we need to fund and this has created cash flow issues." in August 09 as an explanation for a SPP requirement despite having less than 6 million revenue by June 09. I guess in hind sight either:
a) no more orders came in and they didn't even fulfill the existing ones even with the cash that was supposedly raised to do so. The cash was actually spent on paying down creditors and salaries.
b) The $7 million orders were spread over 7 years so only really $1mil in the current year but had a capital outlay to fund the remaining years (despite assurances that capital costs are reimbursed up front)
c) Customers withdrew orders because of delivery or technical or other issues
d) Order values are loosely estimated because of vagaries in the embedded network business model that I admittedly don't understand.
e) I'm a loser wasting time on hotcopper.
