I think you are missing Red Ducks point. To value the gas flow you cant just take the BOE figure and multiply it by $125/bl or use it in a DCF.

5.8 × 106 BTU59 °F equals 6.1178632 × 109 J or about 1.70 MWh.
if you dont trust me, do a simple daily val calc based on 6700BOPD then do the same for 40mmcf/d and you will find you get two very different numbers!
