For this reason community groups are voicing their concerns, signing petitions to get the stockpile moved to a more remote location. As you don't live nearby, you have not been affected by Orica's haxavalent chromium gasses like the residents of Stockton (among other chemical leaks). This is the same company these locals are now expected to trust with storing a chemical capable of producing an explosion comparable to an atomic bomb in force. It is not that surprising that many are against keeping it on that site. So why are you interested in keeping the stockpile where it is? How does this local community issue impact you exactly?
