that's funny Yak - one could say exactly the same thing about the US flouting the UN and illegally invading, and now illeally occupying, a sovereign state. Then they go back, hat in hand, seeking the same entity's help in the mess they have created.
Similarly, said same US complains about the treatment of its POWs during the Iraqi war, gallingly quoting the Geneva convention, while it continues to flout said conventions by maintaining a prison at Guantanamo Bay which just about violates every human right.
