It's only protected when it's in your pocket. If you want to protect your initial investment you may choose a 100/50 rule which is effectively a free carry situation. When the stock gets to 100% bagger , sell 50% of the holding or average down the way you average up .
Personally , Far has not yet met my exit rules so I'm still fully in.
