rcman - My understanding is that the main inflation concern is the cost of fuel.{ I'd be happy to be corrected}. Another {possible} cause is the tariffs on Chinese imported goods {again, feel free to correct me}. Remedial action on those two contributing factors may be more palatable than a huge interest rate increase and a stock market meltdown.
