Agreed....the downside risk is very real indeed !!
Going long on AMP is a classic "catching a falling knife scenario"....and fortunately the biggest kills I did in the past was coming from this type of trade.....and requires a nerve of steel !!
I would never rule out a successful company restructuring though....but follow the trend is more than not the best strategy for most traders and again a classic move.....the trend is your friend type of trade.
Some people here seem to have put a death sentence on AMP and well it may happen but in most cases the worst never eventuate.......
I don't trade on Spec market but big profit on QBL/cannabis stock which was the only one I traded in years....and good profit shorting API.
