I think the rights offer record date to determine entitelments to the new AMP shareS is the 28th /10. That may explain the rise today.
Question. How long do holders need to hold their AMP shares after the 28th 5pm. ?
Can they still be entitled if they sell after that date ?
I'm not 100% on the process. Anyone know.?
If the record date is the only requirement then i would expect the bad news spin to begin and the price will fall to a level where people will question taking up the issue. Henderson is there weak link so i would expect that part of the business to cop the neg news.
The bookbuild is set on the 17th/12 and i presume the market price will be considered at the time.
I may sound cynical but i have been reading most financial papers on AMP for months now and a correlation of good and bad news and specific dates is blatant.
I still have plenty but will wait before accumulating more.
Question.. The split iS 1 for 1 but what is the expected dollar value split ?
