"Seems selling pressure has reduced volumes are low and have found strong support....0.10c divvy coming as well...." The dividend is a poor result and is a reduction of almost 50% on the average for the last few years. Buying stock on dividends only is fraught with danger. The dividend must be viewed in the light of it's long term potential which for this stock is not looking great (more about why it's not looking great later).

MTS, QAN, BHP, SRX, MYX etc etc long list ppl keep telling they will be gone but they are still here with 100%+ growths....

"Methinks this shall bounce back to more realistic valuations which is around $3.90...." IMO A more realistic valuation is around $2.80 with dividends of $0.12-$0.14 p.a.

0.10*2 is 0.20 and that to due to one-off provision which shall not be utilised or require next year

"Let’s talk about fundamentals now....scandals, RC etc etc....I don’t think amp is going anywhere as almost all FIs have isssues includes CBA, ANZ, NAB, etc etc..." The other insto's you mentioned are worth 10 times AMP and they only treated wealth management as a side bar, it's not their main interest. They are also clearing banks which AMP is not. Lending is a fundamental part of the economy. Not many people can go with out ATM cards and home loans but they definitely can go without insurance and over priced super funds

10x may be true and that why scandals and ripoffs are more there then AMP dyor doing false loans, fees ripoffs on banking side so basically they are all at PAR with each other more the size more the scandals and frauds!!

"People still have to invest super, use wealth management, insurance, amp capital which owns shopping centres as well.....don’t forget amp bank which keeps on increasing their share ......" That is true. But people are moving online to do their shopping and most traditional shopping centres are in decline. AMP is not highly regarded in the industry as being particularly good at anything. Although people still need the products that AMP offers they don't need them from AMP. Comparison of price and returns reveals AMP to be an underperformer in this space and heavily reliant upon their adviser force to sell their products.

So you telling me that online companies are 100% safe in fact they are more vulnerable as I can hold AMP staff by visiting their offices whilst online is black dark hole....online never will work for complex insurance products as you will realise when they decline your claims etc etc good luck if you rely on them this is not like buying iPhone online cover by iPhone warranty

"This is 20yr low and bargain great to buy and hold it LT....the great thing is that they are moving in right directions and have capable people sailing ship now....." Perhaps you had better take a look at the long term direction of the share price and dividends before you you talk about historical pricing. You should also note that the same management team that got AMP into this mess is still largely intact. There have been no terminations of any staff and there are criminal and civil cases pending.

Not all people on AMP board are cheats may be they were only under influence of few which got shown doors dyor mate

"To me this is screaming buy....." Good luck to you my friend. I hope you make a fortune out of it.

Last notes: AMP has in the past been a great business and could be again one day. Their product suite is dated and they havent really kept up with the market IMO. They are reliant on their adviser force to sell their products and they dont really have a market niche that they can leverage. Most of their revenues are under pressure from newer cheaper players such as Netwealth et al. IMO AMP has 5 years of tough times ahead after which I hope they can move on the bigger and better things.

Only difference is you talking about 5 yrs and me thinks only 4-5 quarters only time will tell....

To me it’s screaming but if you intend or hold any FIs already like CBA, NAB, ANZ, WBC, SUN, BOQ etc etc all sailing same boat my friend!!
