I agree! Allot of volume and wide daily spreads at this level. Whilst some are getting out, allot are getting back in (supported by the high volume).
As for the descending triangle mentioned above, what I'm seeing is a rising support line from 2003 onwards.
2003 - about $3
2012 - about $3.90
Recently - 3.98 but it didn't stay there. It recovered to 4.04.
I could need my eyes checked (and that is highly likely), and looking through AMP's Annual reports they seem to be a rather average investment as somebody has mentioned above. But, since when did the market listen to that !!
