Never seen a buy back actually raise the SP in any meaningful way for any company. Usually a way to help major holders exit or reduce their holding without crashing the SP.
The $400mil should be give to holders and they can then decide individually if they think the shares are undervalued and want to buy more.
I do not want management deciding which shares are undervalued and how spare cash should be invested.
