Great analysis. Don't agree with financial advisors leaving in droves will be bad for AMP.
Best thing that can happen. Bring everything back in house. I for one refuse to talk to any company that tells me if I want a loan or any other product to go and see a financial advisor.
Its been a blight on the financial world, and the trailing commission books that you are talking about is just an example. They get commission for life as long as my bank loan stays.
The commonwealth bank tried that with me, until they realised how many accounts they were going to loose. All of a sudden I had an "internal relationship manager" like the good old day before they sold their soul.
