Very interesting times for AMP.
For myself I am coming close to pressing the 'buy' button.
Book value per share is around $1.24. NTA is around $1.06
Lots of discussion on theoretical break up values. But remember market cap is now approaching just $4b. So any discussion on break up values needs be discussed with relevance to the trading market cap.
I will not go all in, but will start to dribble money into the position, using the weakness of share price caused by board uncertainty, buy out uncertainty, passive index forced selling, and year end tax loss selling to establish positions.
In my opinion, a slow dollar cost averaging downwards from around current prices should result in an overall profitable investment.
I will post as I trade into this thought and we will see how this ends up.
