The loss was due to extraordinary items, which we all knew about up to a year ago. These items were factored into the SP some time ago. Underlying profit us a better guide to future sustainable profit. Onward and Upward I say. I always kept a base shareholding of AMP the value of which kept going down. Then I was trading shares to try and recoup those losses. Just lucky I bought a few just before the announcement and the spike.
