I think you’re spot on - I’m happy to back any business as long as they have a few simple key criteria;
No 1 - a talented and focused winning team with tight, innovative and responsive leadership
No 2 - they own and control their own destiny - not at the behest of others (both with product and service)
No 3 - they are able to differentiate themselves - they have a USP
No 4 - related to 3 they have brand and that’s a brands consumers can trust and want.
Todays market place has no respect for history or legacy and what was once can be no more very rapidly, just ask Nokia, Motorola, Lehman’s, Xerox etc....... In this rapidly evolving marketplace across all sectors no one owns the future and everyone’s laundry is up on display. The paradigm of the KISS formula has always rung true in all business facets and even more-so today, respect, overservice and value your customers or see them walk as your competitors are building welcome lounges for them daily.
