According to the Aust Super web site the performance of the cash fund was 1.54% last year 2017 and they don't have 2018 on their web site. The fees I quoted werre for approximation purposes only but they are broadly correct. Sounds like your fund wasn't compliant if you didn't have the all required elements. If you choose to run a non compliant SMSF and then claim it is cheap the you really need to include your pending penalties. Lucky you closed it down I guess.
Even based on your own figures the returns on you dodgy SMSF with $100k in cash would have been $260 for the year (1.54% return minus ($660+$290+$330).
