You may well be right.
Despite all its moving parts , at its heart, AMP is a business that requires a good reputation to function effectively.
At the moment it oscillates between being regarded as evil , or a joke.
The Ferrari detour [ just what you need when you are perceived as an evil empire , a 'greed is good' poster boy in a shiny suit] ,and the present board's inertia , may well prove fatal , but in the end restoring its reputation is the only path out.
All the talk of price manipulation , buybacks etc , just fluff.
