SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--Australian wealth manager and insurer AMP Ltd. (AMP.AU) is
expected to report full year net profit of A$854 million Thursday, bolstered by
strong investment returns and cost reductions, analysts say.
Sydney-based AMP began a comeback in the first half from its disastrous
expansion to the U.K. and investors are expecting continued strong performance
to result in a capital return to shareholders.
AMP is expected to report a net profit for the year ended Dec. 31 of A$854
million, according to the median forecast of seven analysts surveyed by Dow
Jones Newswires. Estimates range from A$815 million to A$878 million.
