While I agree the texts were very suggestive, and possibly ill-timed, In my mind we have not been shown without a shadow of a doubt that he is wrong.
Given CE's Penchant for acquisitions and backyard land deals, he may very well be biding his time to revisit the area and miraculously re-find the resource.
The probability of there only being one drill hit with such reasonable grade and strike length, with nothing else around it is just bizarre and incredibly unlikely IMO.
