@LoadedDogI mostly agree with your points, but I still believe that your comments about ruling against Republicans and the comment about Logoa helping Trump win Florida is the issue.
The supreme court should not be partisan, both parties are failing to maintain that. Nominating a supreme court justice because she helps someone win an election, or not selecting someone because she didn't agree with some Republican idea is partisan crap that should not be anywhere near a lifetime position of the supreme court. The selection needs to be someone fair who can act in a unbiased manner and act professionally at all times.
(A side comment, the deep state is just the population of government employees in positions who don't come and go with particular presidents.. it's not some conspiracy cabal, they are just career employees. For instance I'd rather a career/deep state employee running the USPS rather than some dude who donated to Trump and holds large investments in USPS competitors, who's now under multiple investigations and is doing things like openly admitting to slowing down mail. )
