Thank you for explaining your diagnosis @Megafauna.

I am 54, in regional NSW. I have not been diagnosed, only just had Amyloidosis suggested as something that needs to be ruled out.

The cardiologist is the first specialist who has suggested any amyloidosis testing for me. So I may not even have it, but the combination of my health issues has been debilitating over the last 12 months.

I was diagnosed with severe Psoriatic Arthritis last year, after having unrelated radiation treatment for Dupuytren's disease in my hands. I started getting burning pain in my arms and legs plus tingling in my face at the same time.

The rheumatologist is uncertain if methotrexate may have caused the sudden increase in four liver markers to 4 times the upper limits of normal. But I am now a few months in to treatment with a biological DMARD - secukinumab - and seeing a reduction in inflammatory markers.

The neurologist diagnosed bilateral carpal tunnel, and small fibre neuropathy, but I am disappointed that he has not done tests to rule out causes.

Waiting to see liver specialist. The same one saw my father in hospital last year, a few weeks before he passed away from myelofibrosis. It was a very stressful time.

So pleased to hear that you are doing so well with your treatment.
