Scattered around some of the building are shallow graves. some with limbs exposed to the heat.
The WHO inspection team describe the stench of sewage and bodies rotting in the sun. they accessed some of the buildings but most were too unstable. they interviewed people who had been there during the IDF actions. the reports also include a basic description of the IDF and Hamas shooting in the lower levels.
there is a behaviour here corresponding to the killing of aid workers and journalists along with non-combatants in Gaza. there is no care at all for collateral killings. no attempt to minimise others being harmed by bullets and other weapons in use. the IDF while using the hospital did not provide food and water to what patients and staff had to find what they could.
this is not how a civilised war is conducted.
and for those who will no doubt suggest that all of Gazan people should expect no help from the IDF, I say of course Hamas committed an appalling atrocity. but the people of Gaza did not do that killing. they deserve mercy from any force taking over the hospital.
