Firstly , I don't get the meaning of the above statement .
But more importantly , it is a wrought ! If they are getting entitlements from another country because of all the work they did over there and taxes they paid , then why should Australian tax payers foot the bill for them when they come over here as well .
For example , you could have a situation where someone works all their life in the UK , has a great time and spends all their money except for the value of a home , then emigrates to Australia , buys a family home (not included in the assets test) and then receives a full pension from the UK gov't AND a full pension from the Australian Gov't . for the rest of their life is that correct ? So a couple is getting 4 pensions for 2 people to live off .
