Tibbs, I think you are right.
The insiders knew whats coming so the price was already flying up even before the 2.43 announcement today.
Profit taking? maybe. or maybe.. well, i saw somebody try to feed very small amounts at the bid price. Also somebody (or the same people) buy at offer, despite the gap being 10c !
Note the final gap is upto 3.09 and selling depth is really thin.
