I think you're onto something madamswer and good question travelighter. I agree with your analysis of confirmation bias, particularly when the research is hard-won. I too would like some opposing views. Truth comes from be trying to prove your theory wrong (and failing) not looking for reasons why it is right. I can give one negative and it comes from John Maynard Keynes: "the market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent" he said this in relation to a bearish bet. A patient disposition is always advantageous in the value discipline.
