Just for shits and giggles I'll put in my 'guestimate' at $1.15 per share. Obviously, would be delighted if it was significantly higher, but if it is I won't need the prize money. I think David's valuation of $1Billion was a conservative one, as is my guess. The sale price could easily be much higher than this. Personally, I don't think the current SP has any bearing whatsoever on what the sale price will be. You can't compare this to the takeover of a operating business entity that has transparent revenue and earnings, which are reflected in their current SP. In those instances the takeover price is a percentage premium to the current SP, based on the estimated 'greater value' those assets could be worth. The 'market' has models to approximate valuations for those companies and this is reflected in the SP, which is obviously also influenced by many other factors. IMO 'the market' has no idea how to value this technology, and hence the current SP is more a reflection of 'market forces' i.e. option selling, sentiment, algo / bot trading, profit taking, Index movements etc. The market has difficulty valuing disruptive technologies, and that is exactly what this is.
