Well kind of.. imec has a number of advantages that could make it a good buyer for 4DS. imec has a deep understanding of ReRAM technology. Second, imec has a strong track record of commercialising new technologies.
Third, imec has the financial resources to acquire 4DS.However, there are also some challenges that could prevent imec from buying out 4DS. First, imec is a research and development company, not a manufacturing company. This means that imec would need to find a manufacturing partner if it acquired 4DS.
Guy feel is they will work with 4ds and take a nice cut. Hope I'm wrong and they just buy them out and go for it!
