$2.5 SP is circa $4.5 B valuation which is bugger all in terms of R&D for a Samsung, IBM or whoever in the big league you choose to name. The longer term benefit to running the worlds data centres, mobile devices etc of whoever owns this technology and then license it out to competitors is many times greater than 4.5B however any acquirer has to realise that benefit and hence would need to discount that risk into the purchase price.

so in terms of us mugs valuing 4DS we are no closer other than to say we don't really know how big this can be and hence the we can only wait. my estimates on SP are well and truly in the $2.5 ++ range but just how big is the great unknown.

I am encouraged though by the Exec teams background and experience and that the CEO has left a lot on the table in earlier investments and is determined not to do the same this time. watching the last few days trading though there is clear interest by parties, other than retail, taking an interest so following that is encouraging and better than the opposite. Big money yet to come into the pit and the all quiet from the Exec is much better than the ongoing "look at me" by some of our listed peers. anyone see Kohlers interview of WBT chair or listen to Money Cafe last week may know what I am referring to.

One of those companies is grand master at purchasing patents and licensing out, even to mortal enemies. Plus they have substantial liquidity & a seat at the global policemans table.
The other is a (relatively) new kid who learnt from the master, has a smaug like mountain of cash and could buy us without missing a heartbeat.
Bidding war would be nice.
