I know most people probably only want to feel or talk about the excitement of a rising share price, but as I read the posts of the very experienced upstreamers, I have been thinking - how many people might have experienced this offshore work and existence?

I suspect those who do it regularly (eg. JP) probably don't think of it as a paradise but I always retain it as an experience you can't buy. In reality only a handful of people visit/work the offshore drilling rigs, FPSO's, Platforms.

As a Saturday night musings (the market isn't open) it might be interesting to know those who have had the priviledge (my opinion) to spend some time on one of these?

Me...I have spent some days over the years on the Sedco 4, North Rankin A, Goodwyn and Wandoo....not as a FIFO "worker" but as a contract visitor. For this I have done the helicopter training probably five times!

I have loved the experience of these rigs!
