Jesse Livermore made and lost 4 great fortunes,was married 3 times and shot himself in a nightclub. I bought the book in 1988. Very few people (& certainly not anyone that reads these posts) operates on such a large scale as Jesse . There is so much wise advice in the book ie, "Men that can be right and sit tight are uncommon.I found it the hardest thing to learn.Once you have learned this you can make big money." "sell down to the sleeping point" was another. He might have been a trader but he was often completely out of the market for years at a time.What I got from the book was to always remain debt free (to remove extraneous thinking) and be prepared to hold your position for 4 or 5 years till what you bought when it was out of favour comes into favour.
