    yes I totally agree. Life is an accident and ultimately one can cry over spilt milk or get on with making the most of things. If cara’s comment means what I think it does (and it’s mostly a Tassie thing at present) many are aware that I’ve got on with things quite happily, quite adequately and - well - nicely really

    Those in my circle have heard me say many times that while I didn’t much like some of the things that happened in a certain interlude, and have very little respect for the person involved (which has been affirmed in more recent years) it was, indirectly, a gift to the extent that recovery lent itself to activity and ways of being that have opened many more doors.

    and yes for those who are limited in their physical capacities or otherwise compromised hotcopper is no doubt a blessing however weird it often is.

    so I’m glad for you it’s there as an outlet
