the big selling point for me flying qantas domestic for a difference of about $20 you get meals and onflight entertainment with not having to pay for check in baggage- qantas domestic get the tick.
BUT, travelling international the ticket prices are considerably less on emirates with an equivalent serrvice.
Emirates gets the tick.
Qantas really need to scale down international and ramp up its domestic in the foreseeable future as it is clearly not a level playing field.
This profit warning was what the unions really needed as a wake up call.
