I have to disagree with you MonkeyDex.
Just flown Perth to SFO on Qantas, both aircraft modern, well the A380 the best plane out, so smooth and quiet even in basic economy.
The cabin staff were polite and always there. even the food was edible, I ate all of mine and looking around so did the other flyers.
So a big tick from me for Qantas.
I wonder if you ever flown on the USA airlines, all the aircraft are old, worn out, small seats and no food. Honesty you do not realise how good Qantas is compared to the rest of the world.
