The government has lost control of the House. Usual procedure is for Parliament to be dissolved and an immediate election called. But it's not law that this has to happen. The defeated government can continue to hold office but without any authority or credibility left they are crippled and a national laughing stock. Opinion poll out today has it LNP45 against ALP 55 on the 2PP but I think this will get worse for the government the longer they hold on. Dave R.
