This whole "mining boom is over" stuff is ridiculous. It would be like me making sweeping statements about Mars, while being a million miles away and having no idea of what it's like to be there.
My father is a traveling sign writer. The old school type who can still do everything by hand. He has recently set up camp in onslow, and the mining companies and trucking companies are throwing work at him like no tomorrow. And the among of work going on up there is as my dad say "phenomenal". And he says it's nothing compared to what it's going to be like in 2yrs time.
