Being lucky enough to live near a leading auctioneer I am able to check out what coins they have up for their online auctions , picked up 15 x 1966 50 cent coins the other day for $132 that was including fees = 5oz's of silver. What I found was on Wednesdays most of the lots are posted on line and say in the case of the 50 cents bidding opens at a dollar so I put in a max bid of $8 . The spot price for a 50 cent coin atm is about $8.95 and when bidding starts it jumps in increments of $2 so bidders are reluctant to pay $10 plus commission . Happy days silver at almost spot price .
