I believe ABS does not include asset prices in it's inflation measure
Why I mentioned companies like Uber is that it is an example of employment that nearly anyone can take up
- by the way a taxi driver friend of mine told me a few years back he could earn $1500 in the hand per week
he said it took him a few years to work out how to be most effective such as where and when to drive
So for me, one of the grey areas in measurement of unemployment is that we are not just measuring how much work is available
,as much as how much people need or want that work. IMO we are a lot wealthier that in the 70s , and overall a lot more selective about jobs.
