The Christians are the most disunited, the atheists the most united. In the general community there is not a lot of religious unity and it has been suggested that some 75,000 Christian denominations exist. That can only happen when people disagree.
Philosophy and philosophers by reason of their grand intellect tend to be in the game to outdo each other, so once again, philosophy if not engendering differences of opinion then at least produces differing schools of thought.
Then there is the grand canyon that separates the theist and the atheist, science based and scriptural literalist.
There is something about religion that makes people combative and competitive. It's the one place where you can become an expert without an education or knowing anything really about your subject. As most religious people are indoctrinated to belief rather than by loving reciprocity they come to belief without due diligence and end up with intransigent beliefs with then does not produce 'likes' for the opinions of others.
So in fact of all threads on HC, it stands to reason that Philosophy and Religion should be the most disunited and the least likely group to appreciate the opinions of others because that reflects what happens in the real world.
