Totally agree ajl. The Company has to deliver something to get excited about.

In deference to the game you play down there in beautiful Devonport, I would say that the first half has been pretty boring and quite disappointing. After some real excitement in the 1st quarter (with the new mexican recruit kicking a couple of long range goals) the team has lost focus and fallen into a rut. To be fair, there was some joy late in the 2nd quarter, when the Chinese recruit tapped one through but, since then, it has been all down hill. The 3rd quarter has been a shocker, so far, with the opposition mounting a Fierce and Destructive Attack (FDA) on all our players. This has really shocked the team's supporters - so much in fact, that many have already left the arena. While some have gone home, others (fickle as they are) have simply moved to nearby arenas to embrace other teams such as zyl, fdl and cvi.

The game's far from over though ajl. I've had a word to the coach and, while he certainly wasn't expecting that Fierce and Destructive Attack early in the 3rd quarter, he feels that the opposition has played its trump card and is now a spent force. They just do not have the stamina and staying power of our team.

Having said that, the coach does recognise that, apart from a few flashes of brilliance, the team has not yet put its best foot forward. In particular, the star players (especially the new guys from Russia, as well as those from China and Mexico) have not yet displayed their true skills. The team is regathetring its stocks, however, and I am expecting a strong finish, for us, in the 3rd quarter and then an all out blitz in the 4th (particularly with the new Chinese guy firing on all cylinders towards the end of the game).
