Daytraders do this all the time.

I've done it with BHP a few times in last month.

You buy at say $25, and whack a sell order at say $26 for the following day.

If you get nice overseas markets and she opens at $27 well then you get the $27!!!

Obviously it can work against you, like i think many have found out on CNP and the likes.
