One of my favourites along that line adds these steps after summing the two digits (which as Q2 has correctly shown will always be 9):
Multiply result by 5. You should again, have a 2 digit number.
Using the alphabet, 1=A, 2=B, 3=C etc, assign a letter to those digits.
Think of a country starting with the first letter, and an animal starting with the second letter.
Then explain to me what an elephant is doing in Denmark...
(Great stunner when it works. Sometimes you get echidnas or emus in Djbouti)
