I like the cvi story but in this economic environment it is prudent to scale back on such risk averse stocks and hold cash..........
The worst isn't over yet, I would think, and cvi is treading water atm, what if the dow plunges 5 to 7% overnight like Europe & Asia ( not to mention Aus ) had this week. USA have had some large falls over the last couple months , I'm waiting for the big one. Maybe I'm wrong but, with all this volatility I like having the cash to pick things up cheap, cvi being one of them.
Who was around when the tech. bubble burst.....?
I was, & remember being murdered in stocks that never turned back up, I know this is a somewhat different environment, but I am being more cautious this time around.
It is possible that you may be able to pick cvi up at much cheaper prices. This turmoil in the markets isn't over yet & could linger on for quiet a while, the markets have no soul and will grind on , with you or against you.
