Shareholders and wanna be shareholders, the baby has arrived. The last nine months have slipped away so fast and now that we are here, we can announce the safe arrival of a 18cm 100gram newborn delivered by forceps in the FDA hospital. We languished at the failure of Sofdra mark 1 but we have come back with a bigger and better version. Congratulations to all who have stuck around through the journey.
Capital raising, the worst kept secret stymying our recent growth, has been enacted allowing us to hit the ground running. Who was that insider with all the figures last month very much in the know providing us with some potential data? Keep up your good work. It's all a bit surreal isn't it but tomorrow gives us the longest night to dream of what could really be the future with all of our other BTX molecules together with the new baby Sofdra.
Here is some background into our story something I hope you can copy and print. Like Michael Stipe from REM used to say, we are REM and this is what we do. This is what I do. I hope you enjoy Part 1 which was done preCovid.
I would like to sharewith you all an interesting and rewarding story,
That after such along time we can finally all share in Botanix’s glory.
An ancient poet once said‘When the road is long and tough at first,
Drink plenty ofwater, take the odd pee and you won’t die of thirst’.
It is on an amazingjourney that we have come,
Some faster, someslower but you cannot say it hasn’t been fun.
With fantasticinsights from many posters along the way,
Positivityreinforcement helped us with many dark and shallow days.
With management attimes not striking the right chords,
I pulled out Mumsspecial water than she brought back from Lourdes.
It did work and camein especially handy during testing times,
But I am not so surethat it has produced any classic rhymes.
ANODE TO BOT – part ONE
Botanix started life thru a back door aptly named Bone,
This happened on July 15th 2016 and who would have known?
That Matt Callaghan would become such an entrepreneurial force,
Starting off with $3.5Million at 2 cents he certainly made BOT a cheap resource.
At this time with really only one showcase item going
Our acne product BTX 1503 was the special product worth knowing.
With many billion dollar markets involved phase 1 testing had to be done,
The potential was so easy to see that we could become second to none.
In April 2017 management tapped the market,
Raising at 5.5cents, Argonaut knew where they’d park it.
Seven million dollars raised for acne’s BTX 1503,
Phase 1 was successful leading to faces that became near blemish free.
The phase 1b trial somewhat quickly concluded,
And the extremely encouraging results were not for the deluded.
Matt our esteemed CEO had found that our treatment,
Had some of the best numbers that researchers had ever been sent.
Well maybe not all were blemish free but lesions were certainly diminished,
47% less inflammatory ones when they had finished.
This was the time I was eating Vanilla Magnums,
Had to change my whole wardrobe to fit in my big bums.
We spent a very long time trying to break through five cents,
Many long termers like aburbe were trying to see sense.
He posted in September 2017 about transdermal Drug Delivery Systems,
Permetrex was supposed to make licensing deals having us run on all pistons.
In June 2018 things appeared to be going really well
The share price rose to 17 cents and no one wanted to sell.
None of us suspected we were about to bent over a table,
A chance to participate in the 11cent raising we were unable.
Sure this brought some excitement because we had funds to rush to phase two,
Raising some more money seemed such an easy thing to do.
With our share price showing a constant daily rising,
When news leaked about the price staging of the placement, it was very surprising.
We had risen from 4 cents to a peak of 17 at this stage,
But this certainly did not quell jalaluddin’s rage !
He was furious to say the least,
And many of us felt like we had been done over the table by a beast.
We felt disabled, we felt confused,
We were given no offers to participate but yet we had so much to lose.
Down like a stone did BOT’s share price fall,
Jala especially thought management had made the wrong call.
But in hindsight which is a wonderful thing it was definately the way to go,
Hurrying up the phase 2 with our supported new cash flows.
Over three hundred recipients given our version of CBD,
Anticipating smiley happy faces from people that could be acne free.
Most of the other products in the acne area have been around for a while,
It was probably time for something new given they no longer made people smile.
Along BOT comes with the first novel CBD product in decades,
If it’s successful it will make money in spades.
Matt gloated that BTX 1503,our CBD with Permetrex, was very clean,
With next to no side effects the likes of which he has never seen.
Attention turned to other skin ailments and CBD’s fantastic potential,
I was surprised that they didn’t consider selling to extra terrestrials.
Around this time we entered a period now known as our Apocalypse,
Stressful, boring, no loose lips were going to sink ships.
Then finally our BTX 1204 for Atopic Dermatitis was going to phase 2,
We all hoped so very much that our share price would improve.
Through this melancholy time described beautifully by one as our Apocalypse,
All traders were searching for were some simple money making pips.
Selling the incredibly small rises then buying the incredibly small dips,
Like eating some laced forest mushrooms we were all part of this sad trip.
What a great company really needs is a very strong leader,
Matt Callaghan is our champion and he’d bleed for ‘ya.
He knew raising quick money was the only answer,
The economy was getting much worse like a metastatic cancer.
Now with millions in the bank Matt said no more dilutions,
Off he went to QLD to see Dr Mark Blaskovich at Bioscience Superbug Solutions.
In July 2018 BTX 1801 antibacterial platform was being accelerated,
The world was about to find out how bugs really hate it.
Up there in Queensland where the weather is great,
Matt who chooses advisors keenly enlisted Dr Mark to enhance our fate.
For about a year now CBD has been tested on gram positive and negative bugs,
No one knew much about this but we certainly weren’t being treated as mugs.
Also coming into the clinic was our psoriasis product BTX 1308,
Our Aussie CEO Mike Thurn had a feeling it was going to be great.
With Matt continuously jet setting the world to speak at various soires,
In the backroom our baby was downregulating the p38 MAP Kinase pathway.
For some time this year someone with vast ideas was plotting our course,
Someone from the biotech world, he was affectionately known as ‘The Horse”.
Vince Ippolito was asked to come on board,
His company car was probably a brand new shiny red Ford.
Vinnie was offered a job he couldn’t refuse,
We as BOT shareholders relished the news.
Not giving him free money at sign on but options at 25,
Gives our new Executive President plenty of incentive to build up my beehive.
For BOT to get bigger on the biotech world stage,
Vinnie would one day love it if we were on Biotech News’s front page.
And then something wonderful was announced in June of that year,
Our BTX 1801’s antibacterial action nearly brought him to tears.
BTX 1801 was shown to kill 132 different types of bacteria,
With the world looking for new antibiotics this caused a minor hysteria.
With decades in biopharma Vinnie rang up a few mates,
What he was seeking was money to yet again be stumped on BOT’s plate.
Vinnie was so frantic he didn’t know whether he was coming or going,
Until he got in touch with management at Wall Streets’ Cowen.
‘How much you want Vinnie, it ain’t no problem,
Your target markets are worth billions and we’re good at solvin’.
Forty million dollars were raised in such a hurry,
To stay years ahead now we didn’t need to worry.
Our executive management team was bolstered by two,
First there was Ric Peterson and then Howie McKibbon came through.
These fellows bring an incredible amount of experience and knowledge,
No doubt they have shared a few drinks with Vinnie enjoying a BBQ sausage.
But as shareholders in biotechs we all do agree,
Ultimately it’s not about the sizzle but the quality of phase threes.
We were at a pivotal stage in Botanix’s progression,
Many in the investment world are talking about an economic recession.
So many of us have been waiting so long for our fat lady to sing,
We all hope to see share price rises as the momentum and fomo truly kicked in.
Now that acne results were to be announced for our BTX 1503,
All the naysayers and shorters were surely going to flee.
The world would take notice that we had something bright and new,
And Vinnie said himself he wanted to deliver us true shareholder value.
As we have found out just recently that an interloper bought stock at 22,
Then sold out soon after when the stock rose slightly to 23.
Each to their own but what an absolute fool,
Give BOT some time and watch that flog drool.
If he made a buck,
It’s only because of luck.
Not sticking around
For the unicorn he had found.
Negative interlopers are sometimes hard to take,
Noticeably comments are raised which are essentially fake.
They had hopefully left us forever with their tails between their legs
Insipid dispositions everywhere all so full of dregs.
They try to scare us with deception which is a ruse,
I wish I could call up Quentin to get the Gimp to really cut loose.
But as announcements come in they know they had been a goose,
We would all be very happy on the dancefloor singing along to Footloose.
Our detractors were chronic and ranged from the laconic to the sardonic,
Then to the moronic touched with a tinge of cacodemonic.
They really wanted to be harmonic,
Instead they became beautifully ugly and that’s oxymoronic.
Back in February of one year, aaragon posted a comment that made a lot of sense.
He bought his daughter a birthday present, twenty thousand BOT shares at 11 cents.
Something a bit different in the hope she’d remember,
We are all thrilled for her riding it all out even through September.
Bot’s share price in September again got down and got dirty,
A few were asking ‘When will we ever get to thirty?’
It is simply amazing how much money is controlled by Mr Market,
But none of us regret having a share like BOT in which to park it.
So now that we had reached BOT’s pivotal point,
Being a so called POT stock I can understand some rolling a joint.
The road has been slow yet meticulously planned,
This is because management have been incredibly well manned.
But our little company had so many coals in the fire,
Some dream here that their investment will help them to retire.
I only hope we all get what we desire,
Some hope to own a racehorse be it a dam or a sire.
So when we all raised our fists to the sun,
I know that from now on we would all be having much fun.
Let much of the admired institutional money swamp our shareholding,
Like a good hand in poker none of us will be folding.
Remember Marcus Padley with “The Ones That Got Away”,
Sold his shares too cheaply could have had ten extra mill with which to play.
So just remember the calculated path that BOT is heading,
Because there might just be extra funds for all our daughter’s weddings.
For me it is about buying something money cannot buy,
If you are trying to figure this out you might be left high and dry.
The answer for me is time and it all might just all be in my head,
My brother reckons money won’t get you out faster from a hospital bed.
He is certainly correct but I still firmly hold my belief,
That time out for me on holidays provides my relief.
With Nikons in tow and taking the family away from the house,
In true Aussie lingo makes us all feel really quite grouse.
Back to our BOT which the market now thought was hot,
BTX 1503 had proven that it definately cleaned up acne spots.
Then BTX 1204 would hopefully do wonders for atopic dermatitis,
Who knows how many big pharmas might go in the ring to fight for us.
Lurking in the background was BTX 1308,
If that treats psoriasis successfully it will truly also be great.
Pin number four BTX 1801 is our incredible bacterial killer,
All 132 gram positive dead bugs think it is a Godzilla.
So our fifth pin at this stage is AB 2367,
Eradicating c.diff for patients will make them feel like they are in heaven.
I am confused why our company didn’t follow tradition,
To also name this a BTX molecule, just my inquisitive supposition.
On lucky Friday the thirteenth of September an ASX announcement was made,
That our Pin number SIX was finally going to be played.
We will have rosacea as another condition to treat,
But before we hit phase 1 there will be requirements to meet.
Towards the end of September an announcement was also made,
On social media acne results were going to be slightly delayed.
Naturally the share price from late twenties did fall,
Punters waiting for the big announcement certainly had to check their calls.
For a flat six week period we had entered an abyss,
Makingmoneystill said that he’s seen grass grow faster than this.
Talk of the impending results mentioned words like binary and hit and miss,
But it didn’t take long for someone to start taking the piss.
A posting was made about innocuous manufactured steel ball bearings,
All hell broke loose but it was simply a red herring.
The word jap was used as a shortened version of Japanese,
But some trouble makers wanted the poster down on his knees.
Rather symbolic because of the Japanese love of the sword,
Unfortunately sanctimonious ramblings made me easily bored.
I looked for solace in my vast musical collection,
Niggaz Wit Attitudes fortunately don’t get my redemption.
With songs like ‘Fark The Police’and a ‘Bitch Iz A Bitch’,
These rappers from Compton knew how to make themselves rich.
Song lyrics from this group are simple and coarse,
I prefer my rock’n’roll delivered with more grace and soulful force.
A passive poster named Poppy became primed to join the fast becoming zoo,
I believe everyone is entitled to their very own special view.
Some fastidious followers were looking very hard at their own dictionaries,
What a shame we couldn’t all be playing Pictionary.
Then we had hotfingers giving everyone a smack,
Hotfingers with two only ever posts wanted everyone to get back on track.
Pilbars deserves special credit for taking so much flack,
Rusty388 was even walking on egg shells and was very worried they’d crack.
So when you think over all these long and arduous years,
Matt Callaghan would have loved for BOT to be the envy of his peers.
As we hope to move to phase three acne and really settle our fears,
Unfortunately this means we will face vermin again with their jitters and smears.
One of our congregation members bernsta chipped in with his vision of BOTs future,
His aspirational numbers could have produced a few gastric sutures.
Not for the fact that they seem to be extravagant and over the moon,
Our HC analyst bernsta also thinks that BOT could hit fifty cents pretty soon.
Pilbars was in Sumatra looking for a beach,
Now that results for acne are in does he think a dollar is out of reach?
To distract many of us while we dreamt of making ten grand,
I thought it a great idea if we could make up a name for our band.
So many BOT band name choices but it quickly became a two horse race,
Vinnie and The Cleanskins from Jack2015 took out first place.
Not that far behind we had CBD and the Receptors, Botaniclear and CBD-C,
And other honorable mentions included the Botnicks, Permezits and CDB4ME.
I made mention probably a year or so ago,
A passing reference to Craig McLaughlin but one punter said Oh No !
It really is astounding how time is fleeting and madness can take its toll,
We all wished that the acne results would get rid of our trolls.
We remember now all of us doing the time warp,
When wills were tested and there was much pressure to absorb.
The blackness hit us all and the void was calling,
But management kept firm even though the share price was constantly falling.
We recently got a release from Micky T who is our Dr Michael Thurn,
Announcing that the Aussie Government was giving us a modest fifty grand to burn.
Dr Mark Blaskovich is doing great things at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience,
We will have many novel patented CBD analogues upon which we will put reliance.
We were in our fourth week of October,
You would have thought the stupidity was over.
Then MadeInItaly76 posts on the forum and instead of saying Ciao !,
Makes a silly rookie mistake, apologizes, but many still think he has the Mad Cow.
We are all but human so can forgive and forget,
Some of us love analysis, some facts yet none of us have met.
But there will come a time when we will all sit down together,
It could be at an AGM, a pub, someone’s house but never say never.
Our sense of excitement was certainly propelled by NZ Trader,
In sharp contrast to dubious types who I considered to be stupid baters.
NZ talks often about consequences of a commercial deal,
On his HMS Botanix, we will all be taking turns at the wheel.
Makingmoneystill thinks you bloody ripper and got religious again,
Will we see him at Sunday mass dressed in a suit sitting with friends?
Jackphil said that the fat lady is ready to sing,
I sure as hell hope that the shorters are burnt or are made to swing.
Many many months/years of waiting for a lot of us leading to NOW,
That was a quote from trusttheprocess, so please sir take a bow.
But with so many irons in the fire our story is really just beginning,
Could it be that one day another pin could see CBD used for hair thinning?
We had a company that is certainly top class,
Loaded with talented and professional people all of them top brass.
It was now time for many of us to enjoy a few single malt whiskies,
And ponder all the fun we will have when our dreams become realities !
