I know you have voiced recently your doubts whether the program as a whole would move ahead, I can sympathize with your cynicism as so many programs are shelved, resurrected, renamed etc within the carbon reduction schemes of both parties that any forward looking stability is nearly made impossible for shareholders to rely on.
The ALDP though has survived the recent cosmetic axe of the ALP to appear business friendly regarding many renewable and alternative funding schemes for power generation.
Now we can read that the abolishment of the carbon tax would actually raise the price of electricity down the line as it would reduce the low cost solar input from households down the line.
It's a jungle of conflicting information and lobbies out there, all claiming to know the way forward.
In my opinion, the ALDP is a program which will result in job creation and export royalties for Vic and hence a program to stay.
As a side note, the after hours action was carefully coordinated to keep price at 0.7 cent.
Why would that be of any importance if somebody would try hard, as you say, to make the tree look compelling.
