G'day to Bevan and Frank.
Today I phoned the office in the hope of speaking to either of you, not to gain any unfair advantage or access any special unannounced information, but simply to give myself some comfort that there still was hope of some return from what so far have been extremely poor investments.
I was met with what can only be described as a very rude and unprofessional attitude by you Bevan.
Bevan, I have been in three listed companies under the control of Frank and yourself for at least 6 years. In that time I have taken up every offer of shares that has been put to me in order for the companies to raise cash in order to move forward.
In the case of Telezon the company approached my wife asking her to increase her holding in order to enable the company to meet the requirement of having 200 shareholders with a min of 10,000 shares.
We were happy to do it even though I felt that it was a very poor investment.
At the time the comment was made to me that a lot of shareholders were looking for a "free ride" in getting the company back on the board, indicating that they were not willing to help.
I even exercised some of the options that came due, even though they were out of the money, as a sign of faith in the company and management. I reckon I would have been the only one who did.
As I said to you on the phone Bevan, I have had shares in dozens of companies over the years and never have I had trouble speaking with someone on the phone in a polite and friendly way.
The 3 companies that I have shares in that you control are of course CRK, TLZ and CNK.
These companies are well known among their shareholders for not making a lot of announcements, and fair enough in many ways, however the shareholders are also owners of the companies and many have as much of their worldly wealth, percentage wise, tied up under your management as you do.
A word of contact now and again is all they ask and to not to be treated as I was today.
I mentioned also that because very little news comes from the companies that sites like HotCopper are rife with inaccurate rumours and comments.
You agreed that most was rubbish but, as I said, if the people get little from the companies then they tend to make it up.
As I also said, if you read all my previous posts on HotCopper you will see that I have been a very strong supporter of the management of your/our companies.
I gave you my name when you came to the phone, but I doubt that you would have any idea what it is because you not once used it when, shall we say, you "debated" with me.
I do not critize people anonymously so, if you do not have my name simply indicate such on HotCopper and I will email you at your office.
You showed a total lack of empathy with your shareholders today Bevan. You need to be reminded that these are not private companies even though at times one could be forgiven for thinking that they must be.
Kind regards
Lockitt
