Dear GOR,
We have watched you grow from the time you were born taking your first tentative steps, growing up to be a great gold producing company and a community role model that like parents we are extremely proud of.
You have always been the little people’s champion, you are a great leader in the industry, you are the best practice and have always set the standards/benchmarks on how things should be done.
GOR you have always been the over achiever, you have always done the right thing for the company, it’s workers, and you have created value for all shareholders and the local community.
Your values, standards and care for the local indigenous community is one that is highly valued and respected.
For those retail investors who have been loyal shareholders for many years we do remember the tough years, those dark years that the banks and institutions did not believe in your story, your ability or in your potential.
However, we did believe in your dreams, your story, your ability, your potential, we were there for you and we supported the dream with our hard earned through your dark times.
We have been there for you, trusted your decisions, and stood by your side, we were the ones that backed your ability, your fantastic people, so we dug deep into our pockets to support the company’s vision and believed in the company’s potential and dream.
Unfortunately tonight some of those very investors are going to be doing things very tough and will go though some very dark times of their own, so this is a plea from us little guys & girls.
- Some we know have/will be loosing their jobs.
- Some have/ will be shutting down their businesses.
- Some have/will lose their businesses.
- Some may/will get the virus.
- Some may/will get very sick or unfortunately may die.
GOR is in a very strong financial position through some very prudent monetary management however we understand the fiscal risks and the uncertainty on the horizon for all companies , we understand you also must be cautious in these very dark uncertain times.
However, we believe any small assistance to those that believed in the company in the guise of a small dividend will greatly help those currently in need and doing it tough.
GOR does have the financial ability, we hate the reality that some of those in need may have to reluctantly sell their shares to the opportunistic waiting in the wings, just get by.
We understand a dividend will not prevent all the threats and won’t be a cure to what is occurring that we all are currently faced with in the coming months but it will make a big difference to those that really need a little help and support right now.
