The point is they are doing it because they can do it...its not a secret. There has been many diligent reporters exposing it for at least 5 years ( and it can be all found searching on the same platforms that spy on you) and there have been govt. investigations which always end up with nothing being shut down..
Does it worry me?...no.
Do I have good idea what they are doing ...? yes.
Can I gain from it...? probably. For example if I know more than you about how it works then I have an advantage over you, possibly in trading strategies that follow the people who stand to gain...if you on the other hand dont care or are unwilling to believe it happens then thats your decision. My post was to share a little and put some facts and research around it as proof...take it or leave it...up to you whether you feel enlightened or not.
Can we stop it...? yes and in many ways...read the agreement to use their services..if it bothers you then dont use their services. Use something else. Most people today dont care that others have access to their personal stuff because they get such useful toys for free (but ultimately there is a cost).
We can protest in many ways but then the free services will begin to be charged for if they cant onsell your privacy...do people really want that..? I mean whats the harm??? thats up to you to consider.
FAR will still get to its valuation, I'm convinced of that...its just interesting watching the games as the weak hands submit.
